Speaking with BBC Radio 1 about his Disney+ series Hawkeye, Renner was asked about Endgame, and he recalled watching the film once and only once, at the premiere. According to Renner, it was a “difficult experience” due to just how emotional both he and the rest of the cast were watching the film.
“I saw it at the premiere, but that was just something to celebrate for all of us,” Renner said. “We were all laughing and weeping, and it was a lot, it was a lot to do. I’ll never watch that again. It was a difficult experience. We were all just a sobbing mess and we’re laughing. It’s amazing, we were like audience members, and that was awesome to experience. That was a lovely, beautiful experience to share.”
While Renner may not be ready to revisit Avengers: Endgame, he’ll be plenty busy in the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the form of Disney+’s Hawkeye. In the series, Jeremy Renner reprises his iconic role as Clint Barton, with the story also set to introduce his fan-favorite protégé Kate Bishop, who will be portrayed by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld.
