Columbia Pictures has pushed back director Antoine Fuqua’s The Equalizer over five months. The big screen adaptation was originally set to open on April 11, 2014, but the movie will now hit theaters on September 26, 2014. The other films scheduled for the new date are The Boxtrolls and Selfless.
A feature film adaptation of the hit 1980s television series, The Equalizer will star Denzel Washington, Chloë Grace Moretz, Marton Csokas, Melissa Leo, David Meunier and Haley Bennett.
In the original series, Edward Woodward starred as Robert McCall, a private detective with a lot of contacts who is available for hire if you have a problem that you don’t know how to solve.
