At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, RT Features announced it will team back up with The Lost City of Z director James Gray on his next feature film, Armageddon Time, a memoir about his time living Queens New York during the mid-1980s. Gray has penned the script and will direct, with RT Features’ Rodrigo Teixeira (Call Me By Your Name, The Witch) producing.
Casting for Armageddon Time is currently underway, with principal photography set to commence in New York early next year.
“RT Features is the best partner a director could ask for — they’ve got great taste, and they know how to support the filmmaker; I’m thrilled to be working with them again,” Gray said about the deal.

Gray first partnered with RT Features on the sci-fi film Ad Astra, which boats the all-star cast of Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, and Donald Sutherland. The studio helped develop the film with Gray who directed and co-wrote for New Regency and Fox.
RT Features is also premiering a trio of films during Cannes this year, including Danielle Lessovitz’s Port Authority, Karim Aïnouz’s Invisible Life in Un Certain Regard and Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse, starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe.
