The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 Episode 7 Recap

In the previous episode of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, the Waterfords worked to negotiate with Canada for Nichole’s return through the Swiss. In The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 Episode 7, June tried to see Hannah at her school, while Moira and Emily bonded over shared experiences.

Child Endangerment

After they participated in a hanging for those guilty of child endangerment, the Handmaids arranged for a meeting between Martha Frances and June at the grocery. They led Ofmatthew away while Frances told June about a friendly Guardian, Parker, at Hannah’s school, Brookline. June would have a short window to see her.

Beth refused to go with June to Brookline, so she persuaded Mrs. Lawrence to walk with her. They came across Mrs. Putnam and Angela. Eleanor talked about how she and Joseph tried to have children when they were younger. June confessed the real reason she’d asked Eleanor to walk with her. Knowing the truth, Mrs. Lawrence wanted to complete the trip.

Guardian Parker wasn’t at the gate in Brookline, so Eleanor used her status to arrange for a tour of the grounds. June wasn’t allowed in. Eleanor’s plan didn’t work, and they were forced to go home, where Joseph was waiting for them. At the next hanging, it was Frances they were executing for child endangerment. Ofmatthew had reported her to Aunt Lydia. Livid, June assaulted her as the other Handmaids hid them from view. What’s more, the Mackenzies and Hannah were gone.
