Lionsgate has announced two updates to its 2014 schedule. Director Bille Woodruff’s Addicted is now set for release on March 14, 2014 while Kevin Greutert’s Jessabelle, previously planned to hit the big screen on January 10, has been delayed until August 29, 2014.
Addicted, which stars Sharon Leal, Boris Kodjoe, Tasha Smith, Tyson Beckford, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Kat Graham and William Levy, is based on the best-selling novel by Zane. In the story, Zoe Reynard is a woman who truly has it all- the perfect husband, two wonderful children and a successful career. However, as perfect as it may seem from the outside, inside she is craving something more. She soon finds herself risking it all, helpless in an overpowering addiction to sex. Powerless under this erotic high, her sexual escapades begin to spin her life out of control and carry her down a dangerous path she may not survive.
Jessabelle, meanwhile, arrives from Blumhouse Productions with a script by Robert Ben Garant, and a cast that includes Sarah Snook, Mark Webber and Joelle Carter.
After losing her fiancé in a horrific accident, the titular Jessabelle is forced to recuperate at her fathers ruined Louisiana mansion, where she discovers a strange gift from her long-dead mother, and a terrifying presence determined to destroy her.
