Sony Pictures Television and Spectrum Network have released a new L.A.’s Finest trailer for the upcoming second season of their Bad Boys spinoff series. The video features the return of Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba’s crime fighting duo as they continue to become a force to be reckoned with. The series is scheduled to make its return on June 8. In L.A.’s Finest, Syd Burnett (Gabrielle Union)—last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel—has seemingly left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective. Now partnered with Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), a working mom with an equally complex history, Syd is forced to confront how much her unapologetic lifestyle may be masking a greater personal secret. Taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles while skirting the rules (and speed limits), Syd and McKenna become a force to be reckoned with—on the streets, and in each other’s lives.
The series also includes Ernie Hudson as Joseph Burnett, Zack Gilford as Ben Walker, Duane Martin as Ben Baines, and Ryan McPartlin as Patrick McKenna.

L.A.’s Finest hails from Sony Pictures TV, Jerry Bruckheimer Television, and 2.0 Entertainment. Pam Veasey (CSI:NY) is serving as co-showrunner of the series and is executive producing alongside Union, Alba, and writers Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier (The Blacklist). Doug Belgrad (Peter Rabbit), Jerry Bruckheimer (Bad Boys), Jonathan Littman (CSI franchise), KristieAnne Reed (Lucifer), Jeff Gaspin (To Tell the Truth), Anton Cropper and Jeff Morrone (Atomic Blonde) are also set as executive producers.
