His & Hers: Jessica Chastain Nabs TV Rights to Alice Feeney’s New Thriller Novel

According to Deadline, two-time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain has successfully acquired the TV rights to author Alice Feeney’s thriller novel titled His & Hers through her Freckle Films banner. Chastain will be developing the series adaptation alongside Kristen Campo and Endeavor Content.

“The last three years have been such a wonderful whirlwind and I’m still pinching myself,”  Feeney said in a statement. “I’m so thrilled to be working with Jessica Chastain, Kristen Campo, and the team at Endeavor Content. I love what they have planned for His & Hers, and I can’t wait to see Anna Andrews and Jack Harper brought to life on screen.”

First published in the UK last month, His & Hers will follow the story of exes DCI Jack Harper and BBC newsreader Anna Andrews, whose paths cross for the first time following their divorce when a woman is found murdered in their hometown. Anna is reluctant to cover the case and Jack becomes suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation.

The series adaptation will be executive produced by Chastain and Kelly Carmichael for Freckle Films along with Campo. This project will be part of Freckle Film’s growing list of ongoing projects such as: Simon Kinberg’s spy thriller 355; and Michael Showalter’s The Eyes of Tammy Faye, which will be both led by Jessica Chastain.

His and Hers will be making its U.S. debut this coming July 28 and you can pre-order the book now by clicking here.

This will be Feeny’s second novel that will be getting a TV adaptation as her New York Times best-selling debut novel titled Sometimes I Lie has also been optioned to become a series with Sarah Michelle Gellar attached to star.
