Netflix unveiled new artwork for Ultraman Season 2 ahead of its 2022 release date.

No further release window was revealed for the second season of the show, but it was reconfirmed that it will premiere on Netflix next year. However, voice actor Ryohei Kimura appeared and showed off new art that teases what to expect from the next season.

“Several years have passed since the events of Ultraman, with the legendary ‘Giant of Light’ now a memory, as it is believed he returned home after fighting the many giant aliens that invaded the Earth,” says the official synopsis. “Shin Hayata’s son Shinjiro seems to possess a strange ability, and it is this ability, along with his father’s revelation that he was Ultraman, that leads Shinjiro to battle the new aliens invading the Earth as the new Ultraman.”

The first season of Ultraman, which is comprised of 13 episodes, is now streaming on Netflix. A feature film is also in production at the streamer.
