Hellbound Trailer Teases Netflix’s Horror Drama From Train to Busan Director

Netflix has debuted the full Hellbound trailer for the upcoming South Korean supernatural thriller drama, based on Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-Ho’s webtoon of the same name. Starring acclaimed actor Yoo Ah-In, the series will be available for streaming on November 19.

The video features a number of individuals who have found themselves in an unbelievable situation as they get condemned to death by supernatural beings, who have brought hell into the realm of humans. It highlights the question of whether these horrific acts are divine judgement for the sinners or are they ways of destruction against humanity.

Hellbound is directed by Yeon Sang-Ho (Train to Busan, Peninsula) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Choi Gyu-Seok. The series stars Yoo Ah-In (Burning), Kim Hyun-Joo (I Have a Lover), Park Jeong-Min (Start-Up), Won Jin-A (The Age of Shadows), Yang Ik-June (It’s Okay, That’s Love), Kim Do-Yoon, Kim Sin-Rock, Ryu Kyung-Soo (Itaewon Class), Lee Re (Peninsula), and more.

“In the series, unearthly beings appear out of nowhere to condemn people to hell,” reads the synopsis. “It doesn’t matter whether these events are a blessing or a curse: a new religious group is interpreting them all as the will of the divine. What unfolds through this predicament is an intense and highly-charged story about people who must survive under conditions of utter social chaos.”
