The CW has dropped the Superman & Lois Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of the hit superhero drama, starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch. New episodes are slated to premiere next year, starting on Tuesday, January 11.
The video, which you can check out below, features the Man of Steel facing a difficult situation as he struggles to balance his duty as a hero to the world, with his responsibilities as a father and husband. It gives us a preview of the family problems that cause a rift between Clark and Lois. The trailer also features our first look at Teen Wolf alum Ian Bohen’s Lt. Mitch Anderson as he pressures Clark to pledge his allegiance to America.

Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, and Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent. The series also features Dylan Walsh as General Lane, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang-Cushing, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarette as Sarah Cushing, and Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons.
“The series finds the couple returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang, a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark’s first love, and her Fire Chief husband Kyle Cushing,” reads the official synopsis. “The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah. There’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when a mysterious stranger enters their lives.”
Season 2 will also feature the addition of Tayler Buck as Natalie Irons, and Ian Bohen as Lt. Mitch Anderson. It will also include the return of Jenna Dewan to the Arrowverse as she reprises her Supergirl role as Lucy Lane.
