Tiny Tina's Wonderlands to Feature Replayable Dungeons

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands to Feature Special Roguelike Dungeons

Ahead of its release on March 25, 2022, 2K Games outlined a new experience that players will be able to check out in the upcoming Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: the Chaos Chamber. This new feature is designed for players who want to come back to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands over and over.

The Chaos Chamber will be available to players once they reach the endgame state of their playthrough and have become strong enough to play some of the game’s more difficult challenges. The chamber will consist of three randomized dungeon rooms, a mini-boss fight, three more dungeon rooms, and then one final main boss fight. Players will have to work through each room before going through one of two portals at the end of it, which should take around 30 minutes in total.

Check out a trailer for the Chaos Chambers in Tiny Tina’s Wonderland below:

At its core, the Chaos Chamber operates much like a roguelike game would treat its own levels. Dungeons will be randomized each time and Lead Game Designer Kent Rochefort spoke about the vast level layouts on the game’s site.

“We have over 60 level layouts, which will mix and match throughout a dungeon run,” said Rochefort. “On top of that, all the many types of enemies from the game can show up, with up to three different kinds of armies in one room. There are also explosive barrels and traps that populate based on the room. Some are smaller, some are bigger; our level designers went with what felt appropriate for each particular combat arena.”

Players can also collect three different items — Crystals, Blessings, or Curses — that either help them earn more rewards, buff skills, or add debuffs. Crystals are used during the run to determine the player’s score at the end and how many items they can grab after beating the final boss. Crystals can also buy Blessings and Curses make the game harder, but reward players who beat that challenge with more Crystals.

“Moon Orbs” are also an in-game currency that is rewarded to players after a successful run that can be spent at an Enchantment Re-roller station to help users fine-tune some of their gear and get better stats. The Chaos Chamber will reset upon completion, and future adventures into it will have new dungeon rooms and completely randomized items once again.
