Marvel Studios’ WandaVision recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, and with the final episode airing almost a full year ago, Marvel Studios’ Andy Park shared some concept art on Wanda’s new costume.

Taking to Twitter, Park — who serves as Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development — shared a design of an early look at what would ultimately end up being Wanda’s fully realized “Scarlet Witch” outfit. The outfit looks fairly similar to what the final version ended up being, but just includes long sleeves and a full cape.

While Park’s original design might have been more faithful to the comic book version of Scarlet Witch, the version that ended up in WandaVision was also praised by fans for its look and homage to the original as well.
WandaVision premiered in January 2021 and followed the story of Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany’s superhero characters Scarlet Witch and Vision. The series blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. Alongside Olsen and Paul Bettany, the show featured Debra Jo Rupp, Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, Randall Park, and Kat Dennings.
