The long-awaited Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is hitting console and PC on April 5, bringing all nine mainline Star Wars films into one interactive package. In the lead-up to release, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has given fans a new look at the game that puts the spotlight on Emperor Palpatine, Kylo Ren, and all the other masters of the Dark Side of the Force.

Lego Star Wars games have traditionally let players cut loose with all manner of characters once they go through the canon story, so The Skywalker Saga‘s trailer isn’t just a look at the game’s impressive lineup of bosses and baddies. Lego fans should expect plenty of time wielding Force Lightning and Kylo’s glowing red hilt as they progress through this open-world adventure.
The Skywalker Saga was originally announced in 2019 for a 2020 release, but world events got in the way and pushed the game back repeatedly. While serving on paper to be a redo of several past releases (the first of which came out all the way back in the days of the original Xbox), it’s instead a complete remake of each of the Lego versions of the films. Alongside graphical upgrades and improved gameplay, The Skywalker Saga also provides large untamed areas based on movie locations that are ripe for exploration.
