“Echoes of Yomi” comes from Cody Matthew Johnson (with additional music from Yoko Honda) who has made music for other games like Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5. It is described as a “pure distortion and perversion of Gagaku and a fleet of Japanese instruments to support the darkest and unknowable depths of Hiroki’s journey in Trek to Yomi.” Gagaku is a type of Japanese classical music. “Echoes of Yomi” is more of an ambient track and is a stark contrast to “Dancing Blades,” a faster track that Emperia Sound and Music uploaded last week.

This is just a preview of the full soundtrack (which is available for pre-save on Apple Music, Spotify, and Deezer right now) that will be in Trek to Yomi when it comes out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 5 for $19.99, which was just recently announced alongside a lengthy gameplay trailer. The gameplay trailer showed protagonist Hiroki as he moves through the 2.5D world and slashes through his enemies with only one or two slashes.
