During Netflix’s ongoing Geeked Week celebration, a brief look at the animated series based on the hit Valve game was shown off alongside a new image (seen above). Following that, animators Studio Mir — who also worked on the animated series The Legend of Korra and the Netflix film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf — took to Twitter to tease the upcoming season with a short video of the Invoker, a character who has been in the series since its first season.

Not much else regarding the upcoming season was revealed, so fans will have to wait a bit longer to get a clearer look at the third season. However, it’s likely that Season 3 will continue the story of Davion and his group, who have set off on an adventure to try and rid the world of Dragons and make their homes a bit of a safer place.

Based on the 2013 MOBA game Dota 2, Dota: Dragon’s Blood premiered on Netflix in 2021 and has seen two seasons — known as “Books” — air on the streaming platform so far, with the second season just wrapping up in January 2022.
“The sweeping fantasy series tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world,” reads the official synopsis of the Netflix series. “Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events much larger than he could have ever imagined.”
