Living is a 2022 British drama directed by Oliver Hermanus. The film is an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa’s Ikiru, which was in turn partly adapted from Leo Tolstoy’s book The Death of Ivan Ilyich. The story of Living is set in 1953 London and follows a bureaucrat in the Public Works Department suffering from a fatal illness.
