The Media Indie Exchange (The MIX) announced on Thursday that it would be publishing its first game, Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland, a retro-inspired puzzle-platforming game that will release next year.
What do we know about Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland?
The game will launch sometime in 2024 on consoles and PC, and will also receive a physical edition produced by Limited Run Games. It stars the cast of the iconic animated series and allows players to go on adventures as Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil.
Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland will support both solo or co-op play and feature a litany of other characters from the series, including Angelica, Cynthia, Spike, Reptar, and more. It will also allow players to toggle between 8bit and HD art, featuring hand-drawn animations to match the original cartoon’s style.

“Power through high-speed chases, sneak around as a baby-stack trench coat, and destroy buildings on TV as Reptar,” reads the game’s synopsis. “Meet familiar faces including Angelica, Cynthia and Spike along the way, and take a trip down memory lane thanks to stunning hand-drawn animations reminiscent of the original TV classic or enjoy the adventure in a nostalgic 8-bit style. Take up the mantle and guide a band of infant heroes as they unleash mischief on the world!”
