Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas, and more have joined the cast of Bodies Bodies Bodies’ Halina Reijn‘s new A24 movie, Babygirl.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Reijn’s Babygirl will see Kidman play a powerful CEO married to a character played by Banderas. The film will also star Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw, Triangle of Sadness) as a young intern who Kidman’s character begins to have an affair with.
Kidman, Banderas, and Dickinson will be joined by Talk to Me’s Sophie Wilde and Léon’s Jean Reno in the film, with Wilde playing Kidman’s CEO’s assistant and Reno portraying a rival business executive.
What is Babygirl about?
“A successful CEO begins an illicit affair with her much younger intern,” the logline for Babygirl reads.
Babygirl is written and directed by Reijn, this being her third feature film following 2019’s Instinct and 2022’s Bodies Bodies Bodies, the latter of which starred Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Rachel Sennott, Pete Davidson, Lee Pace, and Myha’la Herrold.
Reijn is also producing the film with David Hinojosa, while Julia Oh, Zach Nutman, and Christine D’Souza Gelb serve as executive producers.
Kidman has been a professional actor since the early 1980s. She’s known for starring in movies such as 1990’s Days of Thunder, 1995’s Batman Forever, 1999’s Eyes Wide Shut, 2001’s Moulin Rouge!, 2004’s The Stepford Wives, 2008’s Australia, 2014’s Paddington, 2017’s The Beguiled, and 2022’s The Northman. She’ll also be appearing in DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which releases in United States theaters on December 22, 2023.
Banderas has also been a professional actor since the early 1980s, having starred in movies such as 1995’s Desperado, 1998’s The Mask of Zorro, 2001’s Spy Kids, 2011’s The Skin I Live In, 2014’s The Expendables 3, 2019’s Pain and Glory, and 2023’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. He’s also joining the Paddington franchise in the upcoming Paddington in Peru, which releases in UK theaters in November 2024.
