The highly anticipated Tamil film Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram, faces a last-minute setback in its release plans. Menon recently took to social media to announce the delay and to ask for patience from the fans.
Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram facing financial issues, explains director Gautham Vasudev Menon
Gautham Vasudev Menon, the visionary behind Dhruva Natchathiram, took to Twitter around 3 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2023, to break the news to the eager audience.
He expressed regret, stating, “Sorry. Unable to get Dhruva Natchathiram to the screens today. We tried our best, but it seems we need a day or two more. Hoping to provide everyone with a great experience with advance bookings and proper screens worldwide. The support for the film is heartwarming and has kept us going. Just a few more days, and we’ll arrive!”
This unexpected delay has left fans disappointed, especially considering the film’s extensive production journey since 2018 and its previous delays. Reports suggest that financial troubles have plagued the film, leading to confusion regarding its release.
In a recent update, the Times of India revealed that Gautham has been directed by the Madras High Court to pay $0.95 million to resolve the issues. Now, it is anticipated once this amount is paid, Dhruva Natchathiram will smoothly make its way to the silver screen.
Dhruva Natchathiram holds a special place in the director’s heart, with the film being his dream project. The plot of the film revolves around a secret agent group called The Basement, which is led by Vikram’s character, John.
The star-studded cast includes Ritu Varma, Vinayakan, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and many more. Additionally, Menon revealed he has intentionally left loose ends in the film. As it is, this tease suggests that the loose ends will be addressed in sequels.
