Oscar winner George Clooney and Golden Globe nominee Adam Sandler are teaming up for the first time in an upcoming Netflix project, which hails from Marriage Story director Noah Baumbach.
According to Deadline, Clooney and Sandler will be starring in an untitled movie described as a “funny and emotional coming-of-age film about adults.” This marks both actors latest collaboration with the streamer.
Who’s involved in the Untitled Noah Baumbach Movie?
The untitled dramedy will be directed by Baumbach from a screenplay he co-wrote with Emily Mortimer. Further details about the plot and characters are still being kept under wraps. It is produced by Baumbach, Amy Pascal, and David Heyman. The project is part of the acclaimed filmmaker’s exclusive deal with Netflix.
Clooney previously worked with Netflix on his 2020 directorial movie The Midnight Sky, which he also starred in. Meanwhile, most of Sandler’s movies for the past decade have been with Netflix, including Sandy Wexler, The Week Of, Murder Mystery movies, Hubie Halloween, and Hustle, along with his most recent ones, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and Leo. Besides the upcoming untitled project, he is also currently attached to lead Johan Renck’s highly-anticipated sci-fi drama Spaceman, which will once again be distributed by Netflix.
