With just a few hours left before the theatrical release of Salaar, a wave of excitement and anticipation surrounds the audience. The film industry is abuzz with talk of the fierce competition between Dunki and Salaar. The advance booking collection for Salaar has already surged ahead, surpassing the figures achieved by Dunki with an impressive $3.6 million.
Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire is directed by Prashanth Neel in collaboration with production Hombale Films. The film stars Prabhas in the lead role, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in pivotal roles. The story revolves around the journey of two friends in Khansaar. Amidst an intense narrative with fierce action, the film will depict an emotional story on friendship.
Prabhas’ Salaar is going to hit the theaters on December 22, 2023. This movie is releasing in multiple languages—Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. It has a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes.
Salaar advance booking surpasses Dunki day 1 collection
With the release of the Dunki, a spirited competition has emerged among the fans of both SRK and Prabhas. As per reports, Dunki had advanced booked tickets worth $1.8 million until Thursday. Additionally, $560K tickets were sold for 15,014 shows on the opening day.
Other reports claimed that tickets worth $ 3.6 million have already been sold for Salaar. Since this movie will be in multiple languages, more than 1.4 million tickets have been sold for 10,434 shows for Friday’s release.
Despite this, the Telugu version of the movie alone has recorded an advance booking collection of $ 2.8 million. Besides that, overall advance booking tickets worth $3.2 million for Hindi cinema has been recorded, with $1.9 million for Malayalam, $1.2 million for Tamil cinema, and $30K for Kannada Shows.
Hence, with a day left for the release of Salaar, it will be interesting to see how the audience reacts to the first show.
