The clock is ticking on the release of Varun Tej’s aerial actioner, Operation Valentine. The upcoming movie is less than two weeks away from its release, and its team has already begun promoting it. While the movie has a massive buzz, fans are eager to know how it will unfold. Varun Tej recently spilled beans on the film’s plot and teased some major details.
During an interview with Pinkvilla, Varun Tej revealed that Operation Valentine is based on true events. The movie covers the Pulwama attack and its counter, the Balakot airstrike that took place in 2019. However, Tej revealed that other than the incident, the movie has emotions that an Indian Air Force pilot goes through.
He said, “I think for me with Operation Valentine, it is that emotion that an Air Force pilot goes through. The thing is, even though it is based on a true event, that is not what we are trying to focus on. We are trying to show how the lives of IAF personnel are and how they function on a day-to-day basis, especially around this incident or during that phase. So, that straight-up emotion, it’s the conflict of the film, it’s definitely how passionate a director is about making this and obviously about playing an Air Force pilot was something very exciting for me as an actor.” Varun Tej further mentioned that it is the culmination of all these factors that he said yes to the movie.
Varun Tej reveals Operation Valentine’s plot detail, compares it to Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter
The combats in Indian cinema have taken the sky now. After Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine is based on the Indian Air Force. During the same interview, Teja revealed how his and Manushi Chhillar’s starrer is different from Hrithik Roshan’s. Tej revealed that he has not watched Fighter yet and mentioned that the Balakot airstrike is only a key part of Operation Valentine.
He added, “We are mostly going around the personal lives of Air Force… the force people.” Tej then revealed that the movie also focuses on how the pilot’s life is back at home.
Operation Valentine is set to hit the theaters on March 1.
