Thriller C-drama White Cat Legend has released episode two on February 20, 2024. It follows the genres of mystery, fantasy, and adventure. The drama features Ding Yuxi, Zhou Qi, Ding Jiawen, and Zhang Yicong in the leading roles. The original broadcasting network of the drama is iQIYI. Wang Wei has directed it. The drama is an adaptation of the famous manhwa “Dali Si Rizhi.”
White Cat Legend is a period drama that takes place during the Tang Dynasty. It tells the story of Li Bing (Ding Yuxi), who has been appointed as the Assistant Minister of the temple. At a night banquet, the Empress recognizes his worth and gives him the responsibility to look after the Dali Temple. Following his leadership, a group of temple members allied to uphold justice in the kingdom. They work hard to solve crimes and bring peace to the common people.
In episode two of White Cat Legend, General Qiu Qingzhi (Wei Zheming) arrives at the Court of Judicial Review. He tells the vice minister Shangguan (Ren Min) that the Jinwu guards want to take the criminals in their custody. But the vice minister turned down his request, as it was the judicial court who had caught them. He also teases the court about their inability to solve the murder mystery involving the demon cat.

Meanwhile, Chen Shi (Zhou Qi) wakes up from a nightmare to find a charming young man standing in front of him. The man is Li Bing, and he introduces himself as a member of the Judicial Court. He tells Chen Shi that the court has solved the court, and he is free to go. Chen Shi asks about the cat. Li Bing answers that he has released it.
Meanwhile, the General searches the prison cells for the culprits. He is unable to find Chen Shi or the cat anywhere. He is disappointed in the Vice Minister and scolds her for not understanding the intensity of the situation. The Vice Minister feels humiliated and asks her associates to immediately start looking for Chen Shi and the white stray cat.
In episode two of White Cat Legend, Chen mentions to Li Bing that he had made a promise to the little girl that he would take her to her parents safely. Li Bing takes him around the city, and they start searching for the girl together. Meanwhile, the court has started to look for Chen Shi and arrest him. They are hanging up posters around the city.
The Minister of Rites, Lyu Qing, summons Shangguan and asks her about the progress regarding the murder mystery. Shangguan politely answers that it is a sensitive case and should not be rushed. She loses her cool when Qingzhi calls the judicial court an idle organization. Lyu Qing says that he will give the case to Duji Circuit, which is under Qiu’s jurisdiction if the court of judicial review is unable to solve it.
Then, Chen Shi hears many creepy stories about the cat. There are rumors that the cat can devour an entire human and leave no trace behind. Meanwhile, Li Bing notices the court looking for Shen Chi. He asks him to leave Shendu for his own safety.
