SM Entertainment Gives Update on K-Pop Star Chenle’s Injury Before NCT Dream Promotions

SM Entertainment has released a short update on NCT Dream member Chenle’s injury. After the news emerged, NCT Dream fans took to social media to pour well wishes for the 22-year-old K-pop star.

NCT Dream recently made their 2024 comeback with the mini album Dreamscape on March 25. Within a week of its release, the mini-album sold over 2,132,545 copies in South Korea. Following the release, the NCT subunit, consisting of Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung, is set to appear in multiple shows to promote their latest album.

What happened to NCT Dream’s Chenle?

On April 4, SM Entertainment shared a health update on NCT Dream star Chenle. The music label said Chenle suffered a minor injury to his right ankle during his scheduled activities. They added that the K-pop singer was advised to avoid performances that involve excessive movement. “As a result, he will perform seated during this week’s scheduled music broadcast stages.”

After NCT Dream’s promotional activity ends, the K-pop superstars will embark on a world tour. Their 2024 World Tour will kickstart in Seoul from May 2 to 4. Later, the group will travel to Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and other Asian countries. The group will be in the U.S. for The Dream Show 3 in September 2024.
