NCT 127 is set to make a comeback in 2024. According to SM Entertainment, several K-pop artists, including Taeyeon and NCT 127, will unveil their new full-length albums this year.
SM Entertainment’s NCT is an ever-expanding group, but several sub-units of the K-pop act, including NCT 127 and NCT Dream, have become triple million sellers. Two of NCT 127’s albums, Sticker and 2 Baddies, garnered over 3 million sales, becoming one of SM Entertainment’s most successful endeavors. After multiple popular releases, fans are looking forward to the NCT 127 offering in 2024 as the group teases its future comeback.
SM Entertainment shares new update on NCT 127 comeback album
SM Entertainment recently revealed its 2024 music schedule, which includes plans for NCT 127. As per the label, the K-pop group will release their full-length comeback album in the third quarter of 2024. Another artist who will release their full-length album during the same time period is SNSD Taeyeon.
For 2024, SM is planning to maintain a balance between group and solo releases. This will allow individual members of famous groups to gain exposure and present new sides of their musical persona. Hence, in addition to NCT 127, SHINee Key, EXO Chanyeol, Red Velvet Irene, and NCT 127 member Jaehyun will release mini albums in the third half of the year.
NCT 127 made their last comeback on October 6, 2023, with the studio album Fact Check. It contained nine tracks and sold over 1.9 million copies worldwide. In South Korea, it ranked number 1 on the Circle Album Chart with a whopping sales of 1,863,383 upon release. The album was also ranked 16 on the Billboard 200 chart with over 39,000 unit sales.
Previously, several other albums of NCT 127 also performed exceptionally well on the Billboard 200 chart. This includes Sticker and 2 Baddies, which ranked third on the chart. Their second album, NCT #127: Neo Zone, had charted at number 5.
