Oscar nominee Michael Stuhlbarg has officially found his next project with Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino in the form of Amazon MGM Studios’ dramatic thriller film titled After the Hunt.
According to Deadline, Stuhlbarg has signed on to join the After the Hunt cast, which will be led by Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield. This marks his latest collaboration with Guadagnino, after last working together in 2022’s Bones and All movie. Before starring in After the Hunt, Stuhlbarg will next seen in Doug Liman’s upcoming heist thriller The Instigators with Matt Damon and Casey Affleck.
What is After the Hunt about?
“The film follows a college professor who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil levels an accusation against one of her colleagues, and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light,” reads the synopsis.
After the Hunt will be directed by Guadagnino from a screenplay written by Nora Garrett. The Italian filmmaker most recently directed Amazon MGM Studios’ sports drama movie Challengers starring Zendaya. It will be executive produced by Garrett and Karen Lunder, with Guadagnino, Brian Glazer and Allan Mandelbaum producing. It is a production by Amazon MGM Studios, Imagine Entertainment, and Frenesy. At the moment, the studio is reportedly eyeing a summer production start for the star-studded project.
