It is the Lok Sabha 2024 Election result day. This year’s contest saw many Indian actors step into politics and compete for different constituencies. Kangana Ranaut, Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha, Arun Govil, and Suresh Gopi, among others, are eagerly awaiting to learn how they faired. While the votes are still being counted, here are the details of their performance in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Kangana Ranaut, Hema Malini & other celebrities contesting in Lok Sabha elections 2024

Kangana Ranaut debuted in politics with the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The actress is running for the Mandi, Himachal Pradesh seat as a candidate of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). For the unversed, Mandi is the actress’ hometown. She is contesting against Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh. The actress has been leading in her constituency since Tuesday morning. She is ahead of Vikramaditya Singh with over 72.6k votes.

On the other hand, Hema Malini, who has been in politics for years, is competing for Mathura’s seat. According to the Election Commission of India, the BJP candidate is leading in the constituency by a margin of 252.6k votes. She is currently seeking a third win from Mathura this year.

Shatrughan Sinha, an All India Trinamool Congress candidate, is contesting the Asansol seat in West Bengal. According to ECI, the actor is leading by 60.6k votes. Ramayan star Arun Govil also entered politics as a BJP candidate and is contesting for the seat in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. While the actor was trailing since morning, he is now in the lead.

The actor-turned-politician leads by 8.3k votes, while the Samajwadi party’s Sunite Verma is trailing in the constituency. In Thrissur, Kerala, actor Suresh Gopi is leading. As per ECI, the BJP candidate is in the lead by 74.6k votes.
