2024 Netflix K-Drama Hierarchy K-Drama: Cast & More About Lee Chae-Min’s Korean Series

Hierarchy is the new 2024 South Korean series on Netflix, starring Lee Chae-Min, Roh Jeong-Eui, and Kim Jae-Won. The teen suspense high school drama revolves around a transfer student creating a stir in the lives of the rich students at an elite educational institution.

When transfer student Kang Ha enters a prestigious and elite private school, the top 0.01% of students give him a cold shoulder. These children’s parents are among the country’s wealthiest and most powerful people. The exclusive selection process at Jooshin High School is not easy, as it begins the day a child is born. Therefore, parents and students raise suspicions when Kang Ha joins the school.

The official synopsis of the series reads, “The story depicts the love, friendship, revenge, and compassion that take place when Kang Ha, a transfer student, enters Jusin High School, a prestigious private school where the children of the top 0.01% of conglomerates gather.”

K-drama Hierarchy cast & characters  

Netflix K-drama Hierarchy stars promising actors, such as Lee Chae-Min, Roh Jeong-Eui, Kim Jae-Won, Ji Hye-Won, and Lee Won-Jung.

Lee Chae-Min plays Kang Ha, the transfer student who creates a crack in the elite student group. Although it is a different world for Kang Ha, he doesn’t fear the bullies. In the episode one trailer, he stands up against a bully when the latter tries to threaten him. Kang Ha turns the table as he changes the bully’s interpretation of the warning. 

Hierarchy is Chae-Min’s first K-drama, in which he plays a lead role. Previously, the actor has appeared in dramas like See You in My 19th Life, Crash Course in Romance, Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow, Love All Play, and High Class. He has also hosted the KBS music show, Music Bank.

Opposite Chae-Min, Roh Jeong-Eui portrays the role of Jeong Jae-Yi in the upcoming series. She is the first daughter of a rich family that runs the well-known Jaeyool Group. Jae-Yi is the Jooshin High School queen who dates the Jooshin Group’s successor. However, she will likely break up with her boyfriend and grow a friendship with Kang Ha. Previously, actress Jeong-Eui has done roles in several K-dramas, including Our Beloved Summer, Dear.M, 18 Again, Kill It, Witch’s Court, and Pinocchio. Jae-Yi has also appeared in movies such as I Want to Know Your Parents, Badland Hunters, A Haunting Hitchhike, and Fantasy of the Girls. 

Kim Jae-Won is also playing one of the main leads in the upcoming Netflix drama. He plays Kim Ri-An, the successor of the Jooshin Group. At the high school, he holds the top position, but his status is jeopardized with Kang Ha’s entry. Also, Ri-An loves Jae-Yi and continues to pursue her even after she breaks up with him. Actor Jae-Won has previously worked in King the Land, Fall for You, To My Star Season 2, Our Blues, and Love From Home. He has worked in movies like My Life’s Timeline and Dream Maker.

Aside from these three actors, the Hierarchy cast also includes Ji Hye-Won as Yoon He-Ra and Lee Won-Jung as Lee Woo-Jin. He-Ra is the youngest daughter of a famous trading company, International Yoon, and Woo-Jin belongs to an influential political family. 

The remaining actors are Kwon Eun-Bin, Kim Tae-Jung, Pyo Young-Seo, Kim Min-Chul, Seo Jun, Seo Bum-June, Lee Min-Goo, Choi Won-Young, and Yoon Se-Ah.

Hierarchy release date, episodes & more

K-drama Hierarchy will premiere on Friday, June 7, 2024, on Netflix. It consists of seven episodes, which will likely be released on the same day.

The director of the teen drama series is Bae Hyun-Jin. He has co-directed Lee Jong-Suk’s Big Mouth and Lee Jae-Wook’s Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow. Choo Hye-Mi is the screenwriter, and Kim Tae-Seong is the composer.
