Playtonic Games announced Yooka-Replaylee on Thursday, revealing the new and improved version of the 2017 platforming game, Yooka-Laylee.
What is new in Yooka-Replayee?
Yooka-Replaylee will feature new visuals, an improved camera system, improved controls, and an updated orchestral score for the game. Alongside the changes to the visuals of the game, Yooka-Replaylee will also feature brand new content, with Playtonic Games calling this “the best version” of the game to own.
The upcoming game will once again come from the same key creative talent behind the Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country games, and a full Q&A session will be held next week on Playtonic’s YouTube channel to show off the game and dive into what fans can expect.

Currently, no information on when the Yooka-Replaylee release date will be, but more information is likely to come on June 11, when Playtonic Senior Community Manager Steve James hosts a sit-down Q&A session with some of the company’s founders to answer questions about the upcoming game, as well as what Playtonic has in store in the future.
Known key features of Yooka-Replaylee include:

- Vendi Has Plenty to Offer – Tonics are back with all new flavours! With the option to equip multiple game-changing enhancements, you can truly customise your playstyle. And as if that wasn’t enough, Vendi has new lines of merchandise for the modern fashionable adventurer.
- Revised Controls & Camera – A new tweaked move set allows you to combine moves more fluidly while the new camera controls makes framing the action a breeze.
- A Dreamy Orchestral Soundtrack – The original score from famed video game composers Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie) and David Wise (Donkey Kong Country) returns but as a beautifully arranged orchestral score. Now seriously, clean out those ears.
