Chun Woo-Hee is a popular South Korean actress who recently appeared in Netflix’s K-drama The Atypical Family. Also starring Jang Ki-Yong, she plays a mysterious woman, Do Da-Hae, who gets entangled with a family with superpowers.

Born on April 20, 1987, Woo-Hee made her debut in 2004 in the movie Love So Divine. She rose to fame in 2011 when the actress played a rebellious teenager’s character in the film Sunny. In 2024, she grabbed attention for delivering mind-blowing performances in K-dramas like The 8 Show and The Atypical Family.

The 8 Show is a 2024 K-drama based on a survival game show storyline. Similar to Squid Game, the series revolves around eight people participating in a mysterious game. To pay their debts, they accept the offer to survive in an eight-story building and earn a whopping amount. However, the rules may look simple, and things take an ugly turn once the game begins.

The actors who played the lead eight characters are Woo-Hee, Ryu Jun-Yeol, Park Jeong-Min, Lee Yeon-Eum, Park Hae-Joon, Lee Joo-Young, Moon Jung-Hee, and Bae Sung-Woo. Be Melodramatic 

Be Melodramatic is another Chun Woo-Hee drama focusing on three 30-year-old best friends. It shows their lives as they balance work, romance, and friendships. The Netflix synopsis reads, “At the start of their 30s, three friends navigate the demanding entertainment industry while juggling love, careers and dreams.”

Woo-Hee as Im Jin-Joo, Jeon Yeo-Been as Lee Eun-Jung, and Han Ji-Eun as Huang Han-Joo are the three best friends. The drama also stars Ahn Jae-Hong and Gong Myung as Son Beom-Soo and Chu Jae-Hoon, respectively. The series is available on Viki and Netflix.

The Wailing

The Wailing is a supernatural horror film (2016) starring Woo-Hee, Kwak Do-Won, Hang Jung-Min, and Kunimura Jun in lead roles. The official synopsis reads, “When a mysterious disease leads to death and chaos in a mountain village, a policeman with an infected daughter consults a powerful shaman.”

Officer Jong Goo suspects a Japanese man behind the deaths of villagers from his peaceful village. When his daughter begins to show the same symptoms as the deceased people, Jong Goo seeks the help of a shaman.
