Delicious in Dungeon episode 23 recap
Episode 23 starts with Senshi continuing his backstory. He tells them about how he and his friends entered the country of gold. His fear of being taunted forced him to enter despite his initial reluctance. In the dungeon, his party members were picked off by what they believed to be a griffin. Senshi, the youngest at the time, was protected by the rest and given a plate of meat, believing it to be griffin meat.
However, he always doubted it, believing it could be dwarven meat. After hearing the story, Laois told him to put his doubts to rest by cooking the griffin they had just killed. However, after tasting the meat, Senshi said it was not the same and feared the worst. Laois noticed some weird mushrooms and told Senshi that what he ate must have been a hippogriff. He showed them the changing circle and explained that the hippogriff was changed to look like a griffin.
The group cooked the hippogriff, and Senshi burst into tears due to its nostalgic taste. The next day, they discovered that they had swapped species. Laois informed them that they must have all stepped into the changing circle. Some gargoyles attacked them abruptly, but thanks to Laois, they were able to escape. The episode ended with them having a meal and planning their next step.
