The workplace romance Chinese drama, As Beautiful as You, featuring Xu Kai and Tan Songyun in the lead roles, released episode 12 on July 8, 2024. As seen in the official trailer, Han Ting (Xu Kai) invests in Ji Xing’s (Tan Songyun) company after she resigns from her job on a whim to pursue entrepreneurship. Previously, in episode 11, Han Ting gets upset with Ji Xing as he misunderstands her intensions. However, the new instalment focuses on the former’s meeting with his grandfather.
In episode 12, Han Ting reveals to Ji Xing that he won’t be able to bear it if someone spreads dirty rumors about her. He advises her not to take a shortcut. Ji Xing breaks down after Han Ting leaves. After coming back home, she sincerely thinks about his words and decides to contact Mr. Lin, Beili’s owner. She explains to him that she is only Han Ting’s subordinate and won’t be able to help him. Furthermore, she apologizes to him and turns down his offer to give her a discount on the printer.
Meanwhile, Han Ting meets up with his friend Xiao and reveals what went down with Ji Xing earlier. Xiao asks him to have patience. He adds that even if it appears that she is showing him false heartiness, she will end up having true feelings for him. But in reality, Han Ting is angry because he wants Ji Xing to succeed. He doesn’t want false rumors to flood all her efforts.

In the mean time, Ji Xing hears back from Mr. Lin. She is surprised to learn that Han Ting’s assistant Mr. Tang called him to clear the misunderstanding. Furthermore, she finds relief when he praises her for being honest and assures that their cooperation won’t be affected.
Further into the episode, Ji Xing decides to contact Han Ting to express gratitude but she struggles to put her thought into words. Her happiness doubles when Li Li reveals that she has decided to join her company. She finally manages to gather some courage and apologize to Han Ting. But his short response stresses her out.
Xu Kai’s grandfather gives him an ultimatum
Han Ting visits his grandfather. Mr. Han advises him not to hurt the foundation of Dongyang in the process of fighting with his cousin. He is surprised when he correctly guesses that he likes Ji Xing and that’s why he invested a big amount in her business. He advises him not to get too carried away by the feeling of love.
Han Ting assures him that he thinks highly of her. He knows that Ji Xing is capable of succeeding. But his grandfather gives him an ultimatum. He reveals that he can only give Ji Xing two years to prove her worth. If she fails, Han Ting will have to marry someone else.
What happens in As Beautiful As You episode 12’s ending?
Ji Xing and her colleagues look for ways to make extra money as they are short on capital. Han Ting asks her to visit him for briefing but she sends Zhou instead as she has a prior engagement. Meanwhile, Li Li meets up with Yichen, Ji Xing’s ex-boyfriend. He hands over his entire bonus to give to Ji Xing. He reveals that he wants to help her in some way because he is still in love with her.
However, Han Ting is upset that Ji Xing didn’t come to brief him. Zhou lies about her being ill to get out of the situation. But things get complicated when Han Ting and Ji Xing bump into each other at the hospital, after the latter goes to meet Director Li.
