The popular stand-up comedian has shared his excitement over this new project and Hulu’s new brand under which the special will debut. Gaffigan has received several Grammy nominations for his successful comedy specials which include Mr. Universe, Obsessed, Cinco, and Quality Time.

The upcoming comedy special Jim Gaffigan: The Skinny will be the first of a new series on Hulu named “Hulu’s Laughing Now” brand. Under this, Hulu is planning on releasing 12 new comedy specials every year or one each month. Other comedians who will be featured in this series will be revealed soon. Also coming to the platform are a collection of licensed stand-up specials, the details of which will be available later.
The Skinny will mark Gaffigan’s eleventh stand-up special and was filmed at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, earlier this year.
