Taylor Swift Praises Deadpool & Wolverine: ‘An Actual Joy Portal’

Taylor Swift has nothing but praise for the Deadpool & Wolverine team as she celebrates the film’s release day.  

Through Instagram story, the multi-awarded singer-songwriter shared a photo alongside Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and the film’s director Shawn Levy. She then urges her followers to grace the cinemas, with a link to the ticket for the latest Deadpool feature. 

“Over the past few years I have watched one of my best friends on this planet pour every bit of his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into this film. He’s created the best work of his life, and this film feels like an actual joy portal, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich. I don’t know how he did it,” Swift wrote before she pokes fun at her friend Reynolds.

She continued, “But that’s just Hugh for you! These other randoms crashed the photo and we were too polite to ask them to leave. Deadpool and Wolverine is out [tomorrow]! Here’s where to buy tickets if you like things that are unspeakably awesome. Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids’ sperm donor!”

In the lead-up to the film’s release, some speculated that the “Fortnight” songstress cameo in the movie as Dazzler, which Reynolds and Jackman both denied. The rumor was also officially debunked by Entertainment Weekly. Check out Swift’s Instagram post down below: 

What is Deadpool & Wolverine about?

The superhero threequel follows Jackman’s Wolverine and Reynolds’ Deadpool as they band together to fight a common foe. It also stars Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, and Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Paradox.
