The news was confirmed by her agency which led to many fans coming to social media to pay respects to the talented star. In her successful career, Nakayama has starred in critically acclaimed movies like Love Letter and Tokyo Biyori. Additionally, she has also received praise for her hit songs like, “Waku Waku Sasete,” “50/50,” and “Catch Me, among others. Miho Nakayama passes away at 54, claims report

According to a report by The Japan Times, Miho Nakayama has passed away at 54, however, no cause of death is known yet. The actress was found dead in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward where she resides. The outlet further states that Jiji Press revealed that Nakayama was discovered by people from her agency in the bathtub of her home. Miho Nakayama’s death was confirmed by doctors who were present at the scene.

Miho Nakayama’s agency, Big Apple Inc, also shared an official statement regarding her death on her website, the translation of which reads, “To all concerned parties and fans, Today, December 6th, our talent Miho Nakayama was found dead at her home. We are deeply sorry to have to suddenly announce this to all the people involved who have always looked after her and to all the fans who have supported her, but this incident was so sudden that we, too, are shocked and saddened.”

The agency also revealed that an investigation to determine the cause of her death is currently happening. They further stated, “We are currently investigating the cause of death and other details. We ask that media outlets be considerate of the family and relatives and refrain from excessive reporting and interviews.”
