One-Punch Man Season 3’s Release Date Window & Studio Finally Revealed

Popular animation studio, J.C. Staff, known for their work on the second season of One-Punch Man, has provided updates on Season 3 of the anime and its release date.

Many fans have been concerned after the character designer of OPM, Chikashi Kubota, hinted at the third season facing some issues. However, positive news regarding OPM Season 3 has been shared with fans as the anime’s 10th anniversary approaches.

One-Punch Man Season 3 gets a 2025 release date window

The announcement for One-Punch Man Season 3 was made on the anime’s official website. The studio also shared a poster and listed that fans will get to see Season 3 of One-Punch Man in 2025.

Following the official announcement of One-Punch Man Season 3 and its release date, the voice actor of Saitama, Makoto Furukawa shared his thoughts. He expressed his excitement about the anime completing 10 years by commenting, “It was even longer ago that I auditioned, hoping to pass. Saitama and One-Punch Man have shown me many different sights. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of excitement the third season will bring.”

The main account of One-Punch Man also made a post on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “The newest Season of the series is scheduled to air in the 10th anniversary year of when the First Season aired!”

A short trailer was also shared on YouTube by the Emotion Label Channel as a tribute to the anime for completing 10 years. Additionally, in September 2025 the makers of One-Punch Man anime are hosting a Serious Music Festival which will feature several musical artists and the voice artists of the anime to celebrate 10 years of the series.

J.C.Staff to return as animation studio for One-Punch Man Season 3

J.C. Staff returning to do the animation for One-Punch Season 3 was announced in February 2024. According to CBR, previously, rumors were circulating that MAPPA might take over the much-anticipated season.

The second season of One-Punch Man which came out in 2019 was animated by J.C. Staff. However, their work received mixed reviews from fans. Some fans drew negative comparisons between the quality of the animation seen in Season 2 and the quality of the animation of Season 1, which was done by Madhouse.

In February, the illustrator of One-Punch Man, Yusuke Murata announced on X that he is “not involved in the third season” of the anime.
