Clayface and Dynamic Duo have been given release dates from DC Studios.
Clayface is a new DC movie that is being written by Mike Flanagan and produced by Matt Reeves and Lynn Harris. Dynamic Duo, meanwhile, is a DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation film directed by Arthur Mintz and written by Matthew Aldrich.
Warner Bros. has now announced official release dates for both movies.
What are the release dates for DC Studios’ Clayface and Dynamic Duo?
Clayface will be released in United States theaters on September 11, 2026. Dynamic Duo then arrives on June 30, 2028. The latter of the two will also be shown in IMAX theaters.
Per Deadline, it was announced earlier this week that DC Studios was moving forward with a Clayface movie. Plot details remain under wraps at this time, though production is expected to begin in early 2025.
On Threads, James Gunn called Clayface a “DCU story,” meaning that it will be set within the continuity of Gunn and Peter Safran’s new shared DC universe that recently kicked off with the animated Creature Commandos series.
While no casting has been officially announced for the Clayface movie as of yet, it’s worth noting that Alan Tudyk is voicing the character in Creature Commandos. Gunn has previously said that actors who voice major animated characters in DCU projects will also play them in live-action, which is the case for Frank Grillo as he’s voicing Rick Flag Sr. in Creature Commandos and will also appear in 2025’s live-action Superman movie.
Additionally, Gunn has said that Tudyk will play a live-action character in the DCU. It wasn’t initially clear who he meant as Tudyk also voices Doctor Phosphorus and Will Magnus in addition to Clayface in Creature Commandos.
Not much is known about the plot of Dynamic Duo at this time other than it will revolve around Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. Reeves and Harris are also producing that movie alongside Theresa Andersson.
