The confusion seemingly began when Duell shared a photoshoot picture on his Instagram, with the caption, “Caught somewhere between thought and temptation.” Fans took to the comment section to ask if the actor was returning to play Michael Corinthos, a character recently taken over by Rory Gibson, again.
While Duell’s fans would love to see him replace Rory Gibson, this is unfortunately not happening. The post from him was not about General Hospital at all.
Moreover, after Chad Duell’s last appearance on the show in January 2025, the role was recast, and Gibson took over, making his appearance only recently in May. It seems Gibson is here for the long haul and will continue to play the role of Michael, at least for the foreseeable future.
