Weapons Post-Credits: Is There a Scene at the End?

Viewers are eager to find out whether Weapons consists of a post-, mid-, or end-credit scene. Directed by Zach Cregger, the horror movie centers around the mysterious disappearance of seventeen children from the same classroom. This disappearance leaves the entire community questioning their whereabouts and who might be responsible for it. With the Josh Brolin-led movie having been released recently, many are curious if they should wait after the credits roll for an additional scene.

So, here’s all you need to know.

Does Weapons have a mid, end, or post-credits scene?

No, Weapons do not have a mid, end, or post-credits scene. The audience is free to leave the theaters once the credits roll.

Although there is no additional scene, the credits feature some unconventional visuals. But they don’t contribute to the plot and simply complement the film’s aesthetic.

Generally, an additional scene is added in the middle or at the end to either resolve plot queries or to tease another sequel. As the story appears to be self-contained, the scene wasn’t required. But it doesn’t mean that a sequel might not happen in the future.

In an exclusive interview with US Weekly, director Zach Cregger revealed that he thinks that the Weapons world can expand and that there are character stories to be explored. “I do think that there is a world where Weapons can expand. It sounds weird, and I don’t fancy myself that kind of a filmmaker where I have my own universe. It feels weird to me. But I do think there’s other stories to be told about some of the characters in this movie.” While there are chances of a sequel happening, there is no official announcement on when it could release.

There were speculations earlier that Weapons could be a sequel to the popular movie, Barbarian, as it’s written and helmed by the same director. However, Cregger recently addressed these speculations, saying, “That’s not entirely accurate.” He also mentioned that the latest movie doesn’t contain any easter eggs from Barbarian. So, this clarifies that Weapons is a stand-alone movie with no connection to Barbarian.
