Recent reports suggested that Karrion Kross was nearing the end of his WWE contract, leading to speculation that he might exit the company soon. However, Kross has now addressed these rumors and clarified whether he is leaving WWE.
What did Karrion Kross say about his WWE contract rumors and is he leaving?
In a recent interview with The Angle, Karrion Kross clarified that many of the reports about him leaving WWE—especially those circulating on Thursday—were inaccurate.
“I see things being written online right now, specifically today. A lot of what I read is not true,” Kross said, without naming which reports were incorrect. “I hate to disappoint people, I don’t want to bullsh*t. I hope we come back.”
Kross’s statement comes amid speculation that both his and Scarlett’s WWE contracts are set to expire this weekend. However, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer offered a different perspective on Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer stated:
“I was told that the story about him not being signed to a contract… I heard that is legit, but that he did get an offer, I don’t expect him going anywhere.”
While the contracts have reportedly reached their expiration window, there is no official confirmation that Kross has signed a new deal. Fan chants of “We Want Kross” have continued to grow, and even Paul Heyman recently praised WWE’s buildup of Kross on The Ariel Helwani Show.
Additionally, WWE personnel such as Jackie Redmond have continued promoting Kross’s new book Life Is Fighting, which may suggest the company has future plans for him. These developments hint at a potential strategic move to generate buzz rather than signal an actual departure.
WWE has not officially announced Karrion Kross’s future yet. However, Kross’s comments and the company’s actions indicate he likely isn’t finished. Whether this is part of a storyline or a real contract issue is still unclear.
