Brian Cox has been cast in next summer’s Rise of the Apes. According to The Wrap, Cox will play the film’s main villain, a cruel and abusive owner of a primate sanctuary.
Cox joins James Franco, John Lithgow, Freida Pinto and Andy Serkis under director Rupert Wyatt in a sequel/prequel to Planet of the Apes.
Rise of the Apes hits theaters on June 24, 2011.
