And he’s giving zombies a “beginning”!
Bruno, Bruno, Bruno. You’re either a fan or you’re not. Me? Not so much, but you’re gonna cringe when I say I can sometimes tolerate the schlockiness of “works” such as Scalps, Rats: Night of Terror, Zombi 3 and…Porno Holocaust. Ahem.
Anyway, Mattei’s latest opus, Zombies: The Beginning, is up for grabs at the Cannes Film Fest and let me tell you, sir, it looks like a doozy. Bug-eyed mutants, hungry undead, stomach-bursting ghoulies, zombies growling like lions, trained military personel firing randomly into walls and ceilings. What’s the matter, this doesn’t look awesome to you? Let me just say, “I will destroy you and send you to hell! Yaaargh!”
