Company to release Argento’s film Stateside
The brothers Weinstein are muscling in on Dario Argento’s future. Screen Daily reports The Weinstein Company will distribute Dario Argento’s Giallo in the U.S. upon the film’s completion. This is in addition to the distribution duties they’ve already committed to for Argento’s Mother of Tears, although they’re merely handling the DVD release through Genius Entertainment. Myriad Pictures is rolling the film out theatrically this spring.
Giallo stars Ray Liotta and Vincent Gallo as a detective and serial killer, respectively, entangled in a cat-and-mouse game. Asia Argento will co-star. The script was penned by newcomers Sean Keller and Jim Agnew.
