Director talks upcoming film
Writer-director Ti West is reuniting with the production outfit behind his chiller The House of the Devil for The Innkeeper, a new horror film announced last month.
Shooting, West says, begins in April and May and will find him returning to the Connecticut hotel he resided in while making Devil. He says the film is based on a lot of his experiences staying there.
“This is more of a group of people,” West tells FearNet. “So it will be similar in the sense that there will be these really intense, slow-paced scary scenes that are hopefully suspenseful and scary. But there will also be a lot of relatable humor, and my feeling is that if you like the movie, you would watch it again because of the people you like in the movie, not because of the scary stuff. But I do plan on it being ‘scary-scary’.”
