Phantasm: Ravager releases new, action-packed trailer
The fine freaks at Well Go USA released the sexy new trailer for the upcoming Phantasm sequel Phantasm: Ravager this week and man, it certainly has our hearts pumping.
Sure, the low-budget film is loaded to the balls with CGI and digital trickery, but who cares? It’s amazing to see Reggie Bannister return as everyone’s favorite monster-hunting ice cream man, back in action, guns blazing and fighting those pesky brain-drilling spheres and inter-dimensional druid dwarves. And it’s a bittersweet joy to see the late, elegant Angus Scrimm back for his final bow as the Lord of the Dead, The Tall Man. And there are SO many balls. And they are BIG balls! HUGE balls! Wow!
Well Go USA Entertainment announced its acquisition of North American rights for Don Coscarelli’s legendary Phantasm horror film series earlier this year, including an all-new 4K restoration of the original 1979 cult classic Phantasm: Remastered, never-before-seen HD restorations of 1994’s Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead and 1998’s Phantasm IV: Oblivion. Phantasm: Ravager is the fifth and final film in the series.
Phantasm: Ravager will be released On Demand and Digital HD October 4, and in select theaters on October 7.
