We got our first look at Hugh Jackman on the set of Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables last week and now, thanks to The Daily Mail, here is a look at Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert on the Pinewood Studios set.
Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, the big screen adaptation tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemptiona timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Anne Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.
