Netflix announced today that Michael Peña (Crash, American Hustle) and Diego Luna (Rogue One, Y Tu Mamá También) will star in the upcoming fourth season of Narcos. Production recently began on the new season in Mexico City, Mexico, and season four will be set in Mexico. The casting announcement and location were confirmed today in a Narcos Season 4 teaser, which you can view below.
Narcos Season 4 is slated to premiere in 2018. Narcos is produced by Gaumont Television for Netflix. Executive producers for the series are José Padilha, Eric Newman, Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard.
Narcos chronicles the gripping real-life stories of the infamous drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. Its gritty storytelling details the many, often-conflicting forces – legal, political, police, military and civilian – that clash in the effort to control cocaine, one of the world’s most valuable commodities.
