The official trailer for the upcoming romantic thriller Siberia has been released from Saban Films, starring Keanu Reeves (John Wick 3) and Ana Ularu (Emerald City). Check out the trailer now in the player below!
An American diamond merchant, Lucas (Keanu Reeves), travels to Russia to seel rare blue diamonds of questionable origin. As the deal begins to collapse, he falls into an obsessive relationship with a Russian cafe owner, Katya (Ana Ularu) in a small Siberian town. As their passion builds, so does the treacherous world of the diamond trade from which he is unable to extricate himself. The merchant and his lover are caught in a lethal crossfire between the buyer and federal intelligence service.
The movie also stars Pasha Lychnikoff (Shameless) and Molly Ringwald (Riverdale), and was directed by Matthew Ross from a script by Academy Award nominee Scott B. Smith (A Simple Plan) and is based on a treatment by Stephen Hamel.
Siberia is produced by Hamel and Reeves of Company Films and Gabriela Bacher of Summerstorm/Film House Germany who had developed the material together; and Braden Aftergood and David Hansen. Cassian Elwes of Mars Town helped arrange the financing and is executive producing along with Wayne Godfrey and Robert Jones of The Fyzz and Simon Williams of Ingenious. Also serving as executive producers are Christian Angermayer and Klemens Hallmann of Film House Germany, Chris Lemole and Tim Zajaros of Zeal, and Phyllis Laing and Jeff Beesley of Buffalo Gals.
Siberia will hit theaters and On Demand/Digital HD on July 13, 2018.
