With Fruits Basket The Final Season continuing to let its viewers ride its emotional roller coaster, the romance series and the Japanese Red Cross have partnered up to give fans an opportunity to earn some cool merch… for their blood.
Taking place in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, the first 1,500 people who donate at least 400ml of blood will receive a special Fruits Basket clear file cover. The first 1,000 will also receive a stick that can be redeemed at local Animate stores for an original illustration. The event will be taking place between August 16 and September 30.

This is not the first time donating blood would earn anime fans exclusive merch. A collaboration with Cells at Work! issued a calendar with original illustrations to the first 15,000 people who donated blood.
In recent Fruits Basket casting news, The Final Season has made some surprise castings the past few weeks. This includes the voice of God, which will be played by Hiroshi Kamiya in the original Japanese version, and Matt Mercer in the English dub. The anime also officially cast Katsuya Honda, which will be played by Yoshimasa Hosoya and J. Michael Tatum in the Japanese sub and English dub respectively.
