Toei Animation and Funimation have partnered to co-host a special livestream celebrating the release of One Piece’s momentous 1000th episode.

The virtual event is hosted by YouTuber RogersBase on November 20, 2021, at 3:00 PT, the same day the 1000th episode is set to premiere worldwide. The stream can be watched on Funimation and Toei’s YouTube channels as well as One Piece’s Facebook page. According to a press release fans can expect free streaming of episodes 998 and 999, prize giveaways, fan videos, and more.
“The 1000th episode of One Piece is truly a history-making moment not only for the franchise but also for the millions of fans around the world that have supported the series over the last 22 years,” commented Masayuki Endo, President and CEO of Toei Animation Inc. “We’re excited to mark this major milestone for One Piece and look forward to celebrating it together with fans at our special global livestream event.”

One Piece’s 1000th episode isn’t the only upcoming event, as Toei Animation recently announced that the One Piece: Strong World film will have a limited theatrical event in North American theaters, with the English dub showing on November 7 and the English sub on November 9. Strong World is the 10th film in the One Piece series and originally debuted in 2009. However, until now the film had never received a theatrical release in North America.
